Week 1-
Health and Safety
- Health and Safety – 1 day
- Handling of Agro-Chemicals – 1 day
- Repair and Maintenance = 1 day
- Implement animal health and biosecurity programs = 2 days
Week 2-
Agricultural Machinery
- Tractor Workshop Saiosh verified and Accredited
- Learn GPS and Autosteer on John Deere Machinery
- Harvest Procedures = 2 days (note that harvesting may change to ploughing or planting, depending on the season)
- Irrigation = 1 day (Saturday)
Week 3-
Farm Maintenance
- Irrigation = 1 day
- Repair and Maintenance = 1 day
- Repair and Maintenance = day 2
- Braai and Closing Ceremony (Thursday Evening 18H00)
What You Will Learn:
- Operate a Tractor ( GPS and Autosteer , A&B lines , field selection , daily care of machinery and more)
- Harvesting Agri Crops Procedures
- Monitor the operation and maintenance of irrigation, Systems
- Utilize and perform minor repairs and maintenance tasks. on implements, equipment, and infrastructure
- Implement animal health and biosecurity programs
- Apply Safety and Health Procedures
- Handling of Agro Chemicals
